Well, I’ve gotten a few days behind in the series, but I guess that’s ok! Life gets busy… but whatever happens, we must keep our eyes on Jesus!
God is: Love
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:7-10
The word propitiation has been a hard word for me to remember the meaning of it, but a good way to remember it is the similar phrase “atoning sacrifice.” Jesus took our punishment and bore God’s wrath instead of us.
I am: set free from Satan’s control
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Colossians 1:13
Satan and sin have no authority over me any more. Jesus already won the victory for me on the cross and I don’t have to fight to win the victory, I have to fight the good fight by standing on the perfect victory that Jesus Christ has already won.
