These pictures are from a baby shower that my family did for my cousin’s first baby. A baby shower is a fun way to bless a couple who are going to have a baby and practice hospitality at the same time! We don’t live in a very big house so entertaining can sometimes be a challenge, but the Lord blessed us with very beautiful weather and the back porch worked very well to have the shower at.
The menu for the baby shower was:
– A cheese spread block decorated to look like a baby block & crackers
– Spinach salad with strawberries, mandarin oranges slices, sliced grapes, sugared pecans, & poppy seed dressing
– Small ham and cheese sandwiches on Hawaiian rolls with chive and onion cream cheese spread
– mini powdered sugar donuts
– Our “famous” peanut butter chocolate pudding trifle
– Bird cookie pops (made by crushing a package of chocolate sandwich cookies in the food processor and mixing in an 8oz package of softened cream cheese, shaping them into small balls, inserting straws, freezing, dipping in melted candy melting wafers, and decorating.)
– And of course, cake! – Strawberry cake (3-layer) with cream cheese frosting and cupcakes with the leftover batter
– water, lemonade, and cola
So beautiful, Amanda!
