Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:34-39
The next time you feel defeated remember this. The next time you feel like a failure remember this. You are MORE than a conqueror through Christ who loves you. A conqueror is someone who victoriously wins a battle, having authority over whatever was conquered often implied. How is it possible to do more than that? Isn’t that pretty all-encompassing? It might not be possible in an earthly sense but it’s possible in God’s eyes.
Your victory in Christ is absolutely sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt. This is true even if life has beaten you down — even if it’s hard to breathe. You are a winner in Him, ultimately because none of this (whatever you’re dealing with), can separate you from His love. You are more than a conqueror today!
